The St. Johns County Courthouse project included 54,800 square feet of interior renovations to existing buildings, including new courtrooms, offices, security infrastructure, and 6,300 square feet of single-story and two-story building additions.
The scope also included water intrusion remediation of the building envelope, new walkway, and parking canopies.
The courthouse remained fully operational during construction with minimal disruption to daily activities.
Phase 1A: Constructed new west entry and security screening area and remodel the new Records Management area and the new Public Defender’s office, clerks expansion and government areas add acoustics. Work of this phase was to be substantially complete and ready for occupancy prior to the commencement of the next subphase. Phase 1B: Constructed new east entry and security, screening area, remodel west building. Judge’s offices and court administration spaces.
