FIRE STATION NO. 9 CITY OF JACKSONVILLE
St. Johns County Fire and Rescue Station No. 9 in South Ponte Vedra is a 2-bay, 6,060 sq. ft. facility designed with a Mediterranean facade that blends well with the existing neighborhood to the south. The design consists of two apparatus bays and assorted rooms for fitness, dining and work; also a bunk room, work room, several storage rooms and bathrooms. Project was constructed on a narrow strip of land between an upscale development and Guana State Park. Exterior lights were shielded from the beach to protect baby sea turtles so that they are not confused and instead head towards the ocean. |
